IMPACT
The purpose of the CLC is to add value to learning and teaching through the use of technology by pupils and staff alike.
CLC members of staff have devised a series of impact criteria by which added value is measured.
The core impact criteria
- Pupils achieve: Every Child Matters agenda: Pupil and teacher feedback reports added value to learning.
- Pupils enjoy the activities: Every Child Matters agenda: Pupil feedback reports pupil engagement and enjoyment.
Additional impact criteria
- Statistical: The centre is busy and all 6 learning bases are being used 67% of the time on a daily basis.
- Activities are curriculum relevant. Curriculum links are stated in workshops and CPD activity.
- Activities model technology for learning and teaching.
- Personal, learning and thinking skills are catered for through interactive learning. Workshop planning identifies skills.
- Activities have an impact on teaching. Teacher feedback indicates the influence an activity will have on future teaching back in school.
- Wider impact on the school. Through a range of CPD activities school ICT development and use of ICT is supported.
- Impact locally. The CLC contributes to a range of Wirral ICT identified priorities.
- Impact nationally. The CLC contributes to a range of BECTA priorities.
Accountability
CLC impact on the Wirral’s 120+ schools is reported on to the CLC Governing Body, to the Wirral 14-19 Partnership through the LA Line Manager and through its quarterly Annual Performance Agreement Report to BECTA.
