CPD support

There are three areas of CLC e-safety support to schools.

1. Schools can book twilight and whole day sessions at the CLC for staff training.
2. Policy update sessions can be provided on a one to one basis to head teachers and/or teachers in charge of this curriculum area.
3. Individual teachers can take up EPICT E-safety Certificate Accreditation.

Notes about EPICT

EPICT charges £45 per person for their e-safety modular certification issued to individual teachers taking part. Essentially the module entails research by the teacher, delivery of an activity and evaluation of how it went. The activity can be for a class of pupils, for staff, governors, or parents.

For an additional one off payment of £50, individual teachers can complete up to a further seven EPICT modules covering a range of topics that promote the use of technology for learning and teaching. Teachers can attain Bronze, Silver, or Gold Accreditation depending on the number of modules completed.

The CLC provides its services for free.

CLC accredited EPICT training centre

The Discovery CLC is an accredited training centre and CLC staff will support individual teachers and teaching assistants on a one to one basis.
